Metric Concrete Design & Outdoor Living · PA, NJ & DE

Metric works with architects, landscape designers, builders and property owners on high-end concrete and outdoor living installations. From a custom residential pool deck to a coordinated commercial entrance, the goal is a finished installation that follows the design intent and fits the site.

With 35 years in business, Metric offers direct owner involvement, finish-selection guidance and project coordination. Share your drawings, reference photographs and priorities so the scope can be reviewed before pricing and scheduling.

Concrete finishes that complement the architecture

Compare stamped concrete patios, integral color, seamless textures, decorative borders and conventional concrete. For pool surrounds, review how the deck finish will meet coping, stairs, drainage and adjacent outdoor spaces. Pattern, color, joint layout and sealer should be considered together.

Use the pattern collection and project photography to begin the discussion. Where the finish is critical, define any physical sample or mockup and its approval process in the proposal. Photographs and color charts are selection guides; the actual materials and lighting affect the result.

Coordinate the details before installation

  • Levels and transitions: review thresholds, steps, coping and changes between concrete, pavers and decking.
  • Drainage and joints: coordinate surface drainage, drain locations and joint layout with the proposed finish and site conditions.
  • Access and protection: identify equipment access, material staging and areas to protect during construction.
  • Sequence and responsibilities: agree who supplies drawings, approvals, utilities, related trades and finish selections.

Seamless stamping describes a texture. It does not eliminate required concrete joints. Joint locations and finish transitions are part of the planning conversation.

One coordinated outdoor living scope

Combine concrete work with composite or wood decks, paver installations, retaining walls and steps, and outdoor kitchen design and build. For occupied properties, review access and construction phases through our commercial concrete services.

Send the information that makes pricing useful

Include the project address, site plan, approximate quantities, elevations or sections if available, desired materials, reference images and target schedule. Identify details that must remain unchanged and any selections still open. Metric can then discuss constructability, the proposed work and the information needed for a clear written price.

The written proposal defines the installation scope and any included design guidance or project coordination. Architectural and engineering services, where required, are assigned separately so each party’s responsibilities are clear.
